Pastor Bill

Personal Information:

Reverend Bill Swegart is a Colorado native who has had a colorful and varied career before coming to know Christ as his Savior. A Princeton Seminary graduate, he holds two Masters degrees, a Ph.D. in counseling, and a Ph.D in Apologetics and Philosophy. He has served pastorates in California, New Jersey, and Colorado. A former Presbyterian pastor, he, his wife and their four children planted a vibrant church in Buena Vista, CO, and River Valley Community Fellowship in Salida, CO. Both churches were established as non-denominational community churches where the Word is proclaimed from original texts.  RVCF is focused on helping the lost, broken and poor and has made a significant impact in the community.

Pastor Swegart’s faith is vibrant, alive and his messages relevant for everyday life. He speaks to each heart as he relates his past brokenness and weaves his faith into one’s daily walk with the Lord.

Personal Testimony:

“I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. I accepted Christ as my personal Savior at age 37. His mercy and grace constantly astound me and cause me to thank Him for my salvation. I am learning to trust the Lord with my daily life, my family and the future. This is a terrific challenge and a wonderful journey. I have come to the place where prayer is a large part of my walk, and that alone has made great changes in my life and relationship with Christ. “
